Without much trouble the German rider Janne Friederike Meyer took the victory in the CSI 2* Grand Prix 1.45m at Oliva Nova, forming part of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour season (2017 Spring MET), surpassing Constant van Paesschen of Belgium and the Flying Dutchman Gerco Schröder.
Meyer-Zimmermann led the jump-off group of 16 runners-up in a regular round with 66 pairs, after completing in 45.31 seconds with 11-year-old gelding Goja 27 (Wandor van de Mispelaere x Palestro Vd Begijnakker) to add 50 World Ranking points. Belgian Constant van Paesschen followed in second place with 10-year-old gelding Compadre van de Helle (Casall x Concerto II), being slower by 3.66 seconds. For the top three Gerco Schröder and 10-year-old gelding Glock’s Lausejunge (Ludwigs AS x Cornet Obolensky) recording a time of 49.32 seconds, occupying the third position.
Completed the Top 5 in fourth place Dominque Hendrickx of Belgium with 10-year-old gelding Bacardi Les Hauts (Rexar du Houssoit x Cavalier) in 49.85 seconds and fifth Williem Greve of Holland registering 50.77 seconds with 10-year-old mare Zypria S (Siec Livello).
