Dutch rider Jarno van Erp took the €27,000 Rabobank Grote Prijs can Gelderland victory from CSI2* Lichtenvoorde, in clear dominance of the home riders.
Disputing a tight and complicated jump-off round, Jarno van Erp led the first four positions that would end up in the hands of Dutch riders, being his time of 34.51 seconds with the 11-year-old gelding Bon Giorno Go (Togo x Indoctro) owned by H. Van De Goor.
Adding 50 World Ranking Points with his victory, Jarno van Erp scored a small lead of 10 hundredths of a second against Hendrik-jan Schuttert and his 11-year-old gelding Balboa Hs (Togo x Furore), completing his round in 34.61 seconds, while third place was Spaak Sleiderink with the 9-year-old gelding Ivan R (Apple Juice x Sam R) finished in a time of 34.95 seconds.
The last Dutch rider to complete the home sweep was the flying Dutchman Gerco Schröder with the 9-year-old mare Glock’s Deballa (Nuemro Uno x Lupicor), also representing the last double clear round in 35.24 seconds.
The emotions on course design jump-yoff by Henk Linders ended with Tim Rieskamp-goedeking of Germany occupying the fifth place, who recorded the fastest time in 34.29 seconds with the 8-year-old gelding Bao Loi (Baloussini x Lancaster), knocking down a pole and his countryman Felix Hassmann closed the tiebreaker with sixth position next to the 8-year-old gelding SIG Captain America (Captain Fire x Collin L).
