French rider Jerome Hurel dominated the €24,600 Prix Région Normandie in his jump-off round to take a home win.
The second day of CSI3* Canteleu was the protagonist of Jerome Hurel with his 15-year-old stallion Ohm de Ponthual (Voltaire x Calypso d’Herbiers), completing the jump-off in 33.42 seconds and secured 50 World Ranking Points.
After starting the regular round of 74 pairs on course designed by Gregory Bordo, Frenchman Jerome Hurel beat Britain’s William Funnell, who completed his round in 34.04 seconds with the 9-year-old gelding Billy McCain (Cevin Z x Cruising) and the best representative of Pan American Ranking Taylor Alexander of the United States with the 12-year-old stallion Ryanair de Riverland (Quick Star x Papillon Rouge), occupying third place in time of 35.00 seconds.
For the Latino Ranking none of its representatives managed to add World Ranking Points, being Mexican rider Federico Fernandez who obtained the best location in 24th position with the 15-year-old gelding Landpeter do Feroleto (Landritter x Wangmix) totaling 4 faults. For his part Colombian rider Rene Lopez exceeded the time allowed to finish in 6 faults next to the 13-year-old gelding Con Dios III (Colman x Romino) and Tomas Couve Correa from Chile occupied the 59th place accompanied by the 9-year-old gelding Uranus Boy (Querlybet Hero x Quidam of Revel) in 9 fouls.
