The French rider Jerome Hurel shone at home to take the first victory at CSI3* St. Lo week, dominating the €25,000 1.45 Pix Ecuriers du Loup Blanc.
With a first round of 59 pairs on course designed by Jean-Paul LePetit, 17 riders led by Jerome Hurel and his 15-year-old stallion Ohm de Ponthual (Voltaire) would return to the tiebreaker round in 35.28 seconds, secured 50 World Ranking Points.
The strong fight for the first place was centered between two home riders, occupying therefore the second place Laurent Goffinet with the 13-year-old mare Quinette du Quesnoy (Helios de La Cour II) in 35.87 seconds and third place a little most distant Michael G. Duffy of Ireland, completing his round in 37.70 seconds with the 9-year-old stallion Capuchino 2 (SIEC Livello).
The Top 5 was completed in fourth place by Francois Boudant of France accompanied with the 10-year-old stallion Ciento (Viento Uno W) in time of 38.54 seconds and for the fifth place representing the best Pan American Ranking rider Wilton Porter of the United States of America accompanied by 10-year-old gelding Delinquent JX (Darco) in 39.01 seconds, securing good World Ranking points.
For his part French rider Mathieu Billot took the best jump-off time in 35.08 seconds, but a knockdown left him in seventh place with the 8-year-old mare Vent du Sud Kerglenn (Crusher).
Passing to the Latino Ranking Luiz Felipe de Azevedo Filho from Brazil completed his regular round in 8 fouls and finished 41st with the 11-year-old stallion Chacito (Chacco-Blue), while his fellowman Cassio Rivetti with the 8-year-old stallion Dayton Sitte (Ogano Sitte) were disqualified.
