French rider Jerome Hurel opened the actions of the Longines Masters of Paris CSI2* week with a one-two for the home riders.
The first class with FEI Ranking points of Longines Masters of Paris had the prominence of the home riders and Jerome Hurel’s victory with his 13-year-old stallion Uranus (Baloubet du Rouet x Kannan) owned by S.A.R.L. Ar Tropig.
Under course design by Louis Konickx of the Netherlands, 20 riders qualified for the tie-break of the 61 pairs that started the regular round, where Jerome Hurel recorded a time of 35.41 seconds and was escorted by Félicie Bertrand, marking the French one-two accompanied by the 11-year-old mare Sultane Des Ibis (Quidam by Revel x Elan de la Cour) in 36.09 seconds.
The third place was from Swedish rider Petronila Andersson with her 8-year-old gelding Eclatant (Berlin x Heartbreaker) in 36.27 seconds, followed in fourth place by Guillaume Foutrier of France with the 8-year-old mare Fairness Hero Z (Flipper d’Elle x Calvaro Z) in 36.54 seconds and fifth place Gudrun Patteet from Belgium, finishing in a time of 37.14 seconds with the 8-year-old mare Sea Coast Clintissima (Clintissimo Z x Picasso).
For the Pan American Ranking Kara Chad of Canada ended in a distant 32nd place with the 10-year-old mare Carona (Untouchable x Silverstone) in 4 fouls regular round in 61.84 seconds and by Latino Ranking Gerardo Pasquel Mendez of Mexico, exceeded the time allowed accumulating 5 faults in 63.68 seconds, accompanied by the 11-year-old stallion Mighty Mouse (Quartz Adelheid Z x Codexco) in 34th place.
