American rider Jessica Springsteen decided in a jump-off round the victory of the $35,000 Ultima Fitness 1.50m Qualifier in Wellington.

As part of the 2017 ESP Holiday & Horses CSI4* week at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, the second FEI class was disputed with the victory of Jessica Springsteen on course designed by Brazilian Guilherme Jorge.

After completing a regular round with 64 pairs, 12 riders won their classification to the jump-off, but in the end none managed to surpass the American rider Jessica Springsteen with her 11-year-old mare RMF Swinny Du Parc (Berlin x Laudanum) owned by Rushy Marsh Farm.

Completing her round in time of 39.17 seconds by Jessica Springsteen, secured 50 World Ranking points with the first place, in what was a real women domain, occupying the top five places.

For second place Margie Engle of the United States registered a time of 40.72 seconds with the 13-year-old stallion Royce (Cafe Au Lait x Grandilot), followed in third place by Ali Wolff and her 12-year-old gelding Casall (Casall x Capitol I) in 40.75 seconds, while also American Deborah Stephens took fourth place with the 12-year-old stallion Condor C (Cassini I x Caretino) more distant in 44.19 seconds.

The group of women in fifth place was completed by Canadian Susan Horn accompanied by the 14-year-old mare Lilly Fee (Limbus x Carthago), with a time of 45.13 seconds and the last double clear round was achieved by Capt. Brian Cournane of Ireland in 46.50 seconds with the 9-year-old gelding Dino (Vingino x Coriano) occupying sixth place.

By the Latino Ranking stood out the Mexican rider Alberto Michán with the 11-year-old gelding Glasgow de Muze (Andiamo x Parco), knocking down a pole in his jump-off round, leaving him in eighth place with a time of 41.95 seconds. For its part the former Latino Ranking leader Samuel Parot of Chile also managed to add World Ranking points with his 14th place, completing a regular round of 4 fouls in 69.90 seconds with the 9-year-old gelding Dazzle White (Calvino Z x Narcos II).


Final Results
