American rider Jessica Springsteen take her first CSI 5* Royal Windsor Horse Show victory, after dominating the double phase class €42,000 Falcon Stakes.
With the participation of 29 pairs, Jessica Springsteen performed with 14-year-old mare Davendy S (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Pachat II) owned by Stone Hill Farm, completing her course in 42.28 seconds and securing 50 World Ranking points. The second place was British William Funnell and 9-year-old mare Billy Fanta (Billy Congo x Cevin Z) in a time of 44.60 seconds, more than 2 seconds above the winner, while completing the Top 5 in third place Janika Sprunger from Switzerland in 45.50 seconds with 16-year-old gelding Uptown Boy (Odermus R x Joost) in fourth place Michael Whitaker of Great Britain in 48.36 seconds alongside 11-year-old gelding Baltimore VDM (Cardento x Dutchboy) and completed the group in fifth place Ben Maher with mare Diva II (Kannan x Berlioz) in time of 42.12 seconds with 4 faults.
The representatives of Pan American Ranking headed by the winner Jessica Springsteen, had in the picture with FEI Ranking points, Lauren Hough in eighth place and Canadian rider Tiffany Foster in 11th position. For its part World No. 1 Kent Farrington, better seed of the class completed a first round of 8 fouls to finishing in 21st position.
