American rider Jessica Springsteen took the first victory of the Longines Global Champions Tour at Valkeswaard, a Two Phases class.
The 13 leg of 2017 LGCT season in the Netherlands was the second victory of the year for Jessica Springsteen, who stopped the clock in 25.49 seconds with the 14-year-old mare Davendy S (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Pachat II) owned by Stone Hill Farm.
The difference between first and second place was 31 hundredths of a second, where Jessica Springsteen took 50 World Ranking Points, while Dutch rider Albert Zoer with the 11-year-old gelding Gigolo (Cicero Z x Quickfeuer van Koekshof), was those who escorted the winner.
For the Latino Ranking Colombian rider Carlos Lopez finished third, resulting in a total of 40 World Ranking Points with the 9-year-old mare Ulhane de Conde (Jarnac x Corland) in a time of 26.98 seconds. For his part, Brazilian rider Eduardo Menezes occupied sixth place with the 13-year-old mare Caruschka 2 (Caspar x Continue) in 27.86 seconds appearing inside the points, like the Mexican rider Enrique González in tenth place next to the 13-year-old gelding Quilebo du Tillard (For Pleasure x Quat’Sous) in 29.85 seconds.
Out of the points the Brazilian Marlon Modolo Zanotelli finished in the 37th place, retiring in the second phase with the 11-year-old mare Sirene de la Motte (Apache d’Adriers x Uriel d’Orval) and the Mexican rider José Alfredo Hernández Ortega with the 11-year-old mare Grupo Prom Carla Columna (Candillo) finished 40th with 4 fouls in the first phase.
The best seed and world number 1 Kent Farrington of the United States, complete the two phases, but with the worse result next to the 11-year-ol mare Gazelle (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Indoctro), to finish 36th.
