Great atmosphere and clear demonstration for American rider Jessica Springsteen at the opening of CSI 3* Live Oak International in Ocala, winning the $35,000 Hollow Creek Farm 1.50m in speed class.
A total of 67 pairs, Springsteen stopped the clock in an unbeatable 69.73 seconds with 14-year-old mare Davendy S (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Pachat II) owned by Stone Hill Farm, delivering 50 World Ranking points plus $11,550 with the first position. Second place went to the also American Mattias Tromp in 71.37 seconds with 13-year-old stallion Avon (Quidam de Revel x Cortez 679) owned by Swede Ventures LLC, while the third place was the young rider Lucy Deslauriers with 12-year-old gelding Hester (Wandor van de Mispelaere x Palestro vd Begijnakker) recording a time of 72.90 seconds.
For the Latin Ranking Salvadoran Paulo Santana was the best placed, finishing in the 8th place with 17-year-old gelding Taloubet (Baloubet du Rouet x Quidam de Revel) in 77.61 seconds, to add 15 FEI Ranking points. Also the Venezuelan Emanuel Andrade managed to enter within the points to the World Ranking with 12-year-old mare Reus de la Nutria (Zandor Z x Kannan) in time of 82.08 in the 12th position, but although it was distant of the winner, marked the second best time of the competition in 71.31 seconds with the 11-year-old gelding Bonjovi (Verdi x Corland), demolishing a rail that sent from the second to the 18th position.
