The Italian rider Juan Carlos Garcia won the CSI 4* Poznan Grand Prix in Poland, after getting a small advantage of 2 hundredths of a second against Swiss Edwin Smits.
The course designed by Szymon Tarant of Poland for 47 pairs was concentrated in the tiebreaking round for 10 qualifiers, where Juan Carlos Garcia accompanied by the 11-year-old stallion Gitano V Berkenbroeck (Nabab de Reve x Ti Amo van het Lambroeck) commanded in time of 37.15 seconds, being the first of six double clear rounds that finished in so exciting and disputed class, being awarded the Italian with 100 World Ranking Pints with its result.
For the second place and recording a time of 37.17 seconds was the Swiss rider Edwin Smits next to the 12-year-old gelding Rouge Pierreville (Ultimo van te Moude x Narcos II), followed in third place by Belgian rider Thierry Goffinet marking a time of 37.28 seconds with the 11-year-old gelding Artuur JH Z (Andiamo x Baloubet du Rouet), while fourth place was occupied by Derin Demirsoy of Turkey registering 38.28 seconds with the 13-year-old stallion Harry K (Equest Carnute X Robin Z II) and fifth was the home rider Kamil Grzelczyk next to the 10-year-old gelding Wibaro (Balou du Rouet x Graf Quidam) in time of 38.58 seconds.
For the Pan-American Ranking American rider Katherinen Dinan participated with the best performance in the 16th place, completing her field in 4 fouls and 76.31 seconds with the 12-year-old gelding Dougie Douglas (ARD VDL Douglas x High Roller) followed by the Canadian Karina Aziz in 34th place accumulating 9 fouls alongside the 12-year-old mare Fleur Roosters van Betz (Winningmood van de Arenberg x Triomphe de Muze). The member of the American Olympic team Reed Kessler retired in the regular round with Cos I Can (Olympic Lux x Harlequin du Carel).
