The action of CSI 4* San Giovanni in Marignano, Italy, had the house rider Juan Carlos Garcia as the main protagonist by winning the CSI 4* Huawei H.150 in double phase and a bag to distribute of 25,000 Euros.
Completing its two phases with clear round and time of 30.07 seconds, Garcia was presented with 11-year-old stallion Gitano V Berkenbroeck (Nabab de Reve x Ti Amo van Het Lambroeck) to add 50 FEI Ranking Points, being escorted by Swiss Fabio Crotta 1 hundredth of a second slower, which would get 45 World Ranking Points with 10-year-old mare Tess de Jalesnes (Baloubet du Rouet x Allegreto), while Gerfried Puck of Austria took third place in 31.07 seconds with 11-year-old mare Bionda 3 (Phin Phin x Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve).
For the Latino Ranking Argentinean José María Larocca participated without much luck in this opportunity, after he knocked down in first phase and failed to advance further, placing in 41st place with 13-year-old stallion Cornet du Lys (Cornet Obolensky x Champion du Lys) and Canadian Karina Aziz from PanAm Ranking concluded in 39th place with Fleur Roosters van Bets (Winningmood van de Arenberg x Triomphe de Muze).
