Good start for Frenchman Julien Epaillard and his 13-year-old gelding Cristallo A LM (Casall x Corofino I) owned by Laiterie De Montaigu, getting the first victory of the Spring MET 2017 season in Oliva, Spain.
Connoisseur and winner of the circuit, Epaillard was quick to repeat and add 50 World Ranking points with his first place, completing a Double Phase field in 30.54 seconds. For the second place and recording a time of 31.42 seconds Holly Smith of Great Britain, it took 45 World Ranking points with the 9-year-old stallion Quality Old Joker.
The group of Top 5 ranked finished with Alex Duffy of Ireland in third place with 13-year-old gelding Wce Cruco (Cruising x Darco) in 32.49 seconds, followed by the German rider Janne Friederike Meyer and the 10-year-old mare Chloe (Chippendale Z x Quicksilver) scoring a time of 32.73 seconds, while fifth place was Frenchman Aldrich Cheronnet with 10-year-old gelding Tanael des Bonnes (Watch Me * Today x Don Pierre) in 32.90 seconds.
