Frenchman Julien Epaillard repeated for second day in a row at CSI2* Oliva Nova, adding his second win in the €24,600 Gold 4 – 2Ph (LR) – 1.45m.
The course designed by German Frank Rothenberger for 52 pairs left the way ready for the second victory of the week by Frenchman Julien Epaillard, who without a doubt has become one of the main figures of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour.
Being two phases and setting an unbeatable time of 24.15 seconds, Julien Epaillard with the 11-year-old stallion Safari D Auge (Diamant de Semilly) led the group in clear advantage, while 3 seconds slower Belgian Constant van Paesschen finished in second place with Compadre van de Helle (Casall x Concerto II).
The Latino Ranking Leader Pedro Veniss of Brazil seized the third place in a time of 27.33 seconds and secured 40 World Ranking points to his account of the month with the 10-year-old stallion Tresor de Varende (Esprit de Conquete x Apple of River).
Completed the Top 5 Ireland’s Michael Kearins in fourth place with a time of 27.73 seconds next to 11-year-old gelding Beverly Hille (Cabdula du Tillard x Narcos II) and fifth-place German rider Janne Frederike Meyer-Zimmermann with her 9 -tear-old gelding Soccero 2 (Singulord Joter x Casall) in 27.88 seconds.
Also Brazilian rider Caio Carvalho Filho and last representative of the Latino Ranking, managed to score points in 16th place, after he exceeded the time allowed of first phase and was penalized with 1 foul with the 11-year-old mare Sun Flower du Theil (Alegreto x Quidam of Revel).
