The French rider Julien Gonin added a new victory in his career by guiding the one-two-three on part of home riders in the first class of the CSI3* Montpellier.
With 43 pairs the first FEI event of the CSI3* Montpellier on course designed by Jean-Francois Morand, where Julien Gonin got in such a complicated course, one of the two clears round that ended to ensure 50 World Ranking Points with his victory.
Being the protagonist on the part of the home riders, who occupied the first three places, Julien Gonin with the 11-year-old gelding Soleil de Cornu CH (Qredo de Paulstra x Le Tot de Semilly) completed the first perfect round in 58.27 seconds and was escorting in the second place by Pierre Alain Mortier with his 9-year-old gelding Just Do It R (Action Breaker x Baloubet du Rouet) in 58.36 seconds, represented both French the only clear rounds.
For the third place and completing the one-two-three French was Philippe Rozier accompanied by the 12-year-old gelding Rever de Kergane (Hornet Rose x Elan de La Cour), completed his round in time of 58.08 seconds being the fastest of the class, but 4 faults lowered it to third place.
The five best classified was integrated by German rider Marcel Marschall, thus cutting the chain of French riders who occupied until the 11th place, finishing his presentation in 4 fouls and 59.01 seconds with the 12-year-old mare Fenia Van Klapscheut (Cicero Z Van Paemel x Ahorn Z), while the fifth place was by Olivier Robert with the 13-year-old gelding Eros (Querlybet Hero x Forever) in 4 fouls with 60.13 seconds.
