French rider Julien Gonin commanded the first FEI CSI4* Rouen class in France, showing the way in the jump-off round for the one-two.
Registering a time of 34.35 seconds and achieving an adjusted advantage of only 4 hundredths of a second before his countryman Julien Epaillard, Julien Gonin with the 11-year-old gelding Soleil de Cornu CH (Qredo de Paulstra x Le Tot de Semilly) occupied the first place and take 50 World Ranking Points.
Marking the French one-two with Julien Gonin first and Julien Epaillard in second place, the always speedy Julien Epaillard finished in 34.39 seconds his jump-off with the 9-year-old gelding Crsitallo A LM (Casall x Corofino I), while third place was for Belgian rider Christophe Vanderhasselt with his 9-year-old mare Indentity Vitseroel (Air Jordan Z x Darco) in 35.07 seconds.
The fourth place was for Irma Karlsson of Sweden registering a time of 36.12 seconds accompanied by the 9-year-old gelding Chacconu (Chacco-Blue x Perhaps van het Molenvondel) and the top five finishers was completed by British Amazon Jessica Mendoza with the 9-year-old gelding Toy Boy in 38.46 seconds.
By the Latino Ranking the former leader Marlon Modolo Zanotelli of Brazil knocked down a pole to total 4 fouls in 70.98 seconds, but a high presence of riders left him located out of the points in 42nd place with the 8-year-old gelding El Dorado (Indorado x Heartbreaker). For his part Luiz Felipe de Azevedo Filho of Brazil ranked 57th in 8 fouls with the 11-year-old stallion Chacito (Chacco-Blue x Daimler), followed by Colombian rider Mark Bluman with the 11-year-old stallion Gamko S (Heartbreaker x Carthago ) in 9 fouls finishing 59th and his compatriot Rene Lopez with 9-year-old mare Destiny’s Child (Sandro Boy x Corland) ranked 69th.
