The Hansen Dranken Prix at the Equestrian Center De Peelbergen in Netherlands had many emotions from start to finish, where young German rider Katrin Eckermann won alongside 9-year-old mare Dukendy (Padinus x Calvados) beating Luis Jesús Escobar from Spain.
Under the course design of Dutch Henk Linders for 58 pairs, a total of 16 riders obtained their classification to jump-off, where the winner completed his route in 37.12 seconds to earn 50 World Ranking points. Gaining a lead of 80 hundredths of a second, Katrin Eckermann was escorted by Spanish Luis Jesus Escobar and his 12-year-old gelding Counselor (Judgment x Farmer), followed in third place by house rep Patrick Lemmen alongside 9-year-old gelding Ideal (Andiamo x Carinjo) with a time of 38.10 seconds, while the great favorite of the Grand Prix Rolf-Göran Bengtsson of Sweden, conformed in occupying the fourth position with 9-year-old stallion Crunch 3 (Clarimo x Canturo) registering 39.70 seconds.
By Latino Ranking Santiago Diaz Ortega of Colombia was the best placed in 18th position, which failed to add FEI Ranking points with 9-year-old gelding Carlson (Calido I x Silvio I) with course of 4 fouls in 67.01 seconds. Joao Eduardo Ferreira De Carvalho of Brazil was ranked 41st with 9-year-old gelding Andreas Spb Z (Air Jordan Z x Lan Daris) and Venezuelan rider Sabischy Hassler accompanied by 12-year-old gelding Raino du Jardin (Nidor Platiere x Tresor de Cheux), opted to retire in their regular round.
