The German rider Kendra Brinkop surprised at home to take her first 2017 FEI victory in the dispute of €40,000 Marktkauf – Cup.
The class that featured a jump-off round and 43 pairs in a course designed by Olaf Jun Pettersen had an inspired Kendra Brinkop in the heavy rain to complete her round in 34.91 seconds.
Appearing with the 9-year-old stallion A La Carte NRW (Abke x Lux), Kendra Brinkop taking 50 World Ranking Points with her result over the second victory of her career at FEI events, beating fellowman Jens Baackmann with the 12-year-old mare Carmen 255 (Cornet Obolensky x Contender) in time of 35.65 seconds.
The top five ranked was completed in third place by Swedish Peder Fredricson with the 10-year-old gelding H&M Christian K (Namelus R x Calvados) in 35.99 seconds for fourth place Marc Houtzager of the Netherlands in 36.30 seconds with the 11-year-old stallion Sterrehof’s Baccarat (Padinus x Silvio I) and fifth was German Felix Hassman with the 10-year-old mare Balance 30 (Balou du Rouet x Ex Libris) in 36.96 seconds.
By Pan American Ranking Chloe Reid getting World Ranking Points in tenth place with the 12-year-old gelding Adamo (Lupicor x Ekstein) in 4 fouls jump-off round and also US rider Adrienne Sternlicht with the 12-year-old gelding Toulago (Toulon x Carthago Z) in 28th place.
By Latino Ranking Karina Johannpeter from Brazil accumulated 5 fouls in her regular round with the 14-year-old gelding Casper 150 (Concetto I x Grannus) ranked 29th and the Peruvian rider Alonso Valdez Prado accumulated 6 fouls in 31st with the 10-year-old gelding Chief (Verdi x Argentinus), both Latinos out of the points.
