Kent Farrington of United States, World No. 1 celebrated his second month in a row at the cusp, after making use of his favoritism and win the $216,400 ATB Financial Cup conformed by 49 pairs.
With a complicated course designed by Brazilian Guilherme Jorge, only 7 riders got their jump-off, where Olympic medalist Kent Farrington and leader of the Pan-American Ranking completed his course in 38.40 seconds with the 11-year-old mare Gazelle (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Indoctro) owned by Robin Parsky & Kent Farrington. The result allowed the winner to add 130 FEI Ranking points to his June account.
The second place was the American rider Ashlee Bond, who comes from winning last week in Langley, was able to complete a good tour to stop the clock in 38.78 seconds with the 13-year-old mare Chela LS (Chapultepec La Silla x Tlaloc la Silla), adding equally good World Ranking points, completing the top three finishers in third place Keean White of Canada in time of 39.88 seconds, accompanied by 12-year-old gelding For Freedom Z (For Pleasure x Balubet de Rouet).
The representation of Latino Ranking was led by its leader Samuel Parot of Chile, achieving a solid performance that placed him in fourth place to get 80 FEI Ranking points, along with 12-year-old gelding VDL Aberlino (Corlando x Purioso). Following in fifth place Patricio Pasquel of Mexico was slightly slower in 44.72 seconds with the 10-year-old gelding Babel (Billy du Lys x High Flyer), while fellowman Antonio Chedraui with the 10-year-old gelding Ninloubet (Nintender x Galoubet A), exceeded the time allowed to finish with 1 foul in ninth place.
