The closing of the second FEI competition day at CSI 5* Gothenburg had Frenchman Kevin Staut as a repeat, dominating in his second victory a speed class, becoming without a doubt the master of this type of classes in Sweden.
Marking an unbeatable time of 63.39 seconds with the 11-year-old mare Ayade de Septon and HDC (Wandor van de Mispelaere x Belle d’Avril du Mazy) owned by Haras Des Coudrettes, Kevin Staut world number 6 secured 80 points for the February account to the FEI Ranking with his victory, where he could certainly climb positions in the next measurement. The Dutchman Leopold van Asten escorted him in second place with the 10-year-old mare VDL Groep Miss Untouchable (Chacco-Blue x Aldatus) owned by Stoeterij Duyselshof B.V. to complete his run in 64.28 seconds.
The strong fight remained with the third position in time of 64.43 seconds for the Italian Piergiorgio Bucci with 13-year-old stallion Casallo Z (Casall x Carthago Z), followed by the German Marcus Ehning in the fourth with the 12-year-old stallion Comme II Faut (Cornet Obolensky x Ramiro) in 65.63 seconds, while the fifth place was the Spanish Eduardo Alvarez Aznar marking a time of 67.26 seconds with the 12-year-old gelding Rokfeller of PLeville Bois Mar (l’Arc de Triomphe x Apache d’Adriers’).
