American rider Kristen Vanderveen maintained her winning streak in the CSI 4* Crete of the HITS Chicago Series by taking the $200,000 HITS Balmoral Grand Prix.
Featuring 12-year-old stallion Bull Run’s Faustino de Tili (Berlin x Darco) owned by Bull Run Jumpers Five LLC, Kristen Vanderveen secured his second victory in a row by setting the tiebreaker’s first-in-command in course designed by Anderson de Moura Lima from Brazil to 45 pairs in the regular round.
With today’s result by Kristen Vanderveen take 100 World Ranking Points, where no doubt will be climbing positions for the next measurement. The second position was for Nicole Shahinian-Simpson, who won last week’s $50,000 AIG Grand Prix and showed her good moment with the 9-year-old mare Akuna Mattata (Quinar x Landwind II), getting 80 FEI Ranking points.
For the Latino Ranking they emphasized with excellent presentations by Mexican riders Santiago Lambre and Alberto Michán. In case of Santiago Lambre again he was among the best placed in third next to the 9-year-old gelding Dingeman (Nintender x Darnel S), result that gave him 70 FEI Ranking Points and Alberto Michán finishing in fourth place, was presented with the 10-year-old mare Handy Van HD (Tinka’s boy 89.7275 x Nabab de Reve) representing him 60 World Ranking Points.
Gustavo Prato accompanied by twelve-year-old mare Carna Z (Crown Z x Grannus) in ninth place and Venezuelan rider Emanuel Andrade finished 12th in a field of 4 fouls with the 16-year-old gelding U (Monaco x Calypso). Puerto Rican Freddie Vazquez, Argentines Alexis Trosch and Luis Biraben, Venezuelan Daniela Stransky and Colombian Roberto Terán participated.
