The second FEI class at Longines Global Champions Tour in Rome brought about winning the British rider Laura Renwick and the 9-years-old gelding Heliodoro Hybris (Diamant De Semilly x Cannonball).
Surpassing a disputed group of 29 participants, Renwick getting a time of 59.25 seconds, and be the only competitor who lowered the barrier of 60 seconds and marking a lead of 1.30 seconds over Italian Gianni Govoni, occupying the second place with 13-years-old mare Winn Winn (Chin Chin x Wagenaar). The third place was for another Italian rider with Emanuele Gaudiano, always protagonist of the Tour in this type of competitions, achieving a time of 61.73 seconds with the 10-years-old mare Guess 6 (Bentley go Heffinck x Surrealist van’t Paradijs).
Two of the favorites finished in position 4 and 5, with the winner of yesterday Simon Delestre of France in the fourth marking a time of 62.68 seconds with Utah d’Aiguilly (Kashmir van Schutershof x Quick Star) while the fifth was the Dutchman Maikel van der Vleuten and VDL Groep Quatro (Quaprice Boimargot Quincy x Calotto I) in time of 63.63 seconds.
Representatives from Pan American Ranking had again Paris Sellon as its main figure, being the only one to finish in the top 16 ranked in 15th place, with the 10-years-old mare Belle (Numero Uno x Voltaire) knocking down a pole and totaling 4 fouls in 62.81 seconds.
