In celebration of the 54th anniversary of the International Horse Show of Genoa in Italy and under the course design by Gérard Lachat from Switzerland and Luc Musette of Belgium, disputed the Credit Suisse Grand Prix at a height of 1.55m. and one jump off, where the big winner was American rider Lauren Hough.
He rode with his ever fast mare Ohlala (Orlando x Cardento) with 10 years old and owned by The Ohlala Group, led the group of 23 classified to the jump off. They began the a great total of 50 pairs, but a very high effectiveness of contestants, more than 40%, achieved his move to the decisive stage.
The Credit Suisse Grand Prix, counting for the World Rankings and Hough (USA) stop the clock in 35.45 seg. The german super star Ludger Beerbaum on Chaman (Baloubet Du Rouet x I Love You), 15 years old came second with 36.33 seg. in very closed final. The third place went to Pieter Devos from Belgium on Dream Of India Greenfield (Gem Of India x Night And Day) by owner Devos Stables, completed his presentation in 36.90.
To complete the top five Bertram Allen from Ireland and Molly Malone V (Kannan x Cavalier) was fourth 36.92 seg., followed by Swiss rider Paul Estermann and the mare Castlefield Eclipse (Obos Quality 004 x Furisto) with time 36.99 seg.
This was a qualifying competition for Saturday’s Champions’ Challenge presented by Rolex and for the Rolex Grand Prix, competition of the Rolex Grand Slam.
