Dutch rider Leopold van Asten took the victory in the first FEI class of the CSI2* Kronenberg, dominating the €24,700 Seacon Logistics.
Leading Leopold van Asten the tiebreaker round with 17 riders classified on course designed by Henk Linders, recorded the Dutch rider a time of 31.80 seconds with the 11-year-old mare VDL Groep Miss Untouchable (Chacco-Blue x Aldatus) owned by Stoeterij Duyselshof, to add 50 World Ranking Points.
Achieving a small advantage Leopold van Asten to ensure the victory, the difference from second to sixth place was only 44 hundredths of a second, being the owner of the second place Hendrik Sosath of Germany with the 11-year-old mare Cadora (Catoki x Landor S) in time of 33.26 seconds and third place Swiss Olympic gold medalist Steve Guerdat accompanied by the 9-year-old gelding Venard de Cerisy (Open Up Semilly x Djalisco du Guet) in 33.30 seconds.
The top five finishers qualified was completed by Anthony Bourqueard of Switzerland in fourth place with the 9-year-old gelding Janus VB (Namelus-R x Darco) in 33.32 seconds and fifth place Lennert Hauschild of Germany with the 13-year-old gelding Caivano 3 (Chacco-Blue x Quilot) in time of 33.58 seconds.
By Latin Ranking Rodrigo Mesquita Marinho of Brazil finished with the best classification in 17th place, but he could not score World Ranking points, after he did not return to the tiebreaker round with the 16-year-old gelding Cleofas van Westuur (Toulon x Wibramino). Also participating were his fellowman Joao Eduardo Ferreira De Carvalho with the 9-year-old gelding Opium du Soufflet CH (Ogano Sitte x Landjuweel St. Hubert) occupying the 29th position and Camila Mazza Smit with the 11-year-old gelding London Ajm (Lord Z x Clinton Jmen) was eliminated.
