Lorenzo de Luca on Halifax van het Kluizebos victorious in the Zangersheide Sires of the World.

The icing on the cake of the Zangersheide day at Jumping Mechelen was the Sires of the World, a 1 m 45 class with jump off for stallions of 8 years and older. Eight of the 25 starters qualified for the jump off. The 29 old Italian rider Lorenzo de Luca won on Halifax van het Kluizebos, a BWP stallion by Heartbreaker x Fétiche du Pas.

Lorenzo de Luca: “I came to Belgium four years ago to improve my riding and I’m working two years now for Stephex Stables. I have several super horses and Halifax is certainly one of my top horses. Last year we never went fast but from this year on I started to ride to win. Halifax is fast, has a lot of scope and is careful. I trust him completely and he trusts me, that’s why I can go so fast in a jump off.”
