For the closing of the first day in the Longines Global Champions Tour of Chantilly was held the First Competition of the Global Champions League, where the Portuguese rider Luciana Diniz won.

Luciana Diniz completed her jump-off round in 41.37 seconds with the 18-year-old Winningmood (Darco x Cassini) to dominate the € 92,000 class with a total of 13 ranked riders in the decisive round and also valid for Team competition.

Adding 100 World Ranking Points, Luciana Diniz was reunited with the victory in her second participation this year inside the Tour, where she took the 2015 overall riders championship. For second place the former leader of the World Ranking Scott Brash from Great Britain, tried to reach with the 8-year-old gelding Hello Senator (Carambole x Indoctro) to register a time of 42.84 seconds, but was not fast enough to dethrone to the winner.

A highlight for the American Paris Sellon, as part of the delegation of the Pan American Ranking, finishing third with the 9-year-old mare Cassandra (Caressini L x Cardento) in 43.63 seconds, representing the last double clear round. She was escorted to complete the top five finishers by David Will of Germany in fourth place and Jos Verlooy of Belgium fifth.

For the Latino Ranking again Carlos Lopez added FEI Ranking Points culminating in seventh place, taking down a fence in his jump-off to total 4 faults in 43.58 seconds with the 10-year-old mare Cuplandra (Upgrade x Metall), a result that would report 45 points.

The best seed and world number 1 Kent Farrington of the United States finished for second class in a row in eighth place, resulting in 4 fouls with 43.61 seconds next to the 11-year-old gelding Sherman d’Amury (Kannan x Quick Star).
