Dutch rider Maikel van der Vleuten was the best of €25,000 The Christmas Cracker, recording a time of 34.19 seconds.
The class that had a jump-off round on course designed by Brazilian Guilherme Jorge, had a total of 7 classified rider and led by Maikel van der Vleuten with his 12-year-old mare VDL Groep Arera C (Indoctro x Voltaire) owned by JJAC Cop.
Marking an advantage of 19 hundredths of a second by Maikel van der Vleuten against the German Marcus Ehning, the winner took 50 World Ranking points, while German rider accompanied by the 12-year-old stallion Comme Il Faut (Cornet Obolensky x Ramiro) followed him in second place to score 45 points.
The third place was occupied by former World Ranking leader Simon Delestre of France, in time of 36.38 seconds and was last double clear round with the 12-year-old mare Teavanta II C Z (Treasure x Ahorn). For fourth place world number 6 Harrie Smolders of Holland completed a fast round in 34.38 seconds, but knocked down a pole with the 10-year-old gelding Cas (Indoctro x Number One).
The top five ranked was completed in fifth place by the Pan American Ranking rider Laura Kraut of the United States of America, appearing with the 10-year-old gelding Confu (Indoctro x Numero Uno) owned by St Bride’s Farm, totaling 4 fouls in 36.24 seconds.
