The Dutch rider Maikel van der Vleuten added the second victory in a row for his country, dominating the Eiendomsspar Cup speed class.
Appearing with the 11-year-old gelding VDL Groep Quatro (Quaprice Bois Margot x Caletto I) owned by Stoeterij Duyselshof, Maikel van der Vleuten secured 50 World Ranking Points with a time of 52.89 seconds.
The course designed by British Robert Ellis observed 39 pairs seeking to add FEI Ranking Points, but no one finished faster without demolition than Maikel van der Vleuten and was escorted in second place by former world leader Daniel Deusser of Germany completing his course in 53.10 seconds with the 14-year-old gelding Cornet d’Amour (Cornet Obolensky x Damiani).
Continued in the fight for victory and close to leave as a family matter with Eric van der Vleuten in third place, accompanied by the 12-year-old mare Quivive SZ (Quasimodo Z x Amsterdam) in 54.36 seconds and fourth place for the spanish rider Manuel Fernandez Saro with his 12-year-old mare Royalty des Isles (Zandor Z x Elan de la Cour) in 54.63 seconds.
The best time of the class was for the Austrian Christian Rhomberg in 50.54 seconds, but he fell with the 10-year-old gelding Corbusier (Cristallo x Casco) to accumulate 4 fouls in 12th place.
Only American Chloe Reid participated by the Pan American Ranking riders, failing to finish within the points in the 22nd place completing her round in 4 fouls and 64.43 seconds with the 12-year-old gelding Adamo (Lupicor x Ekstein).
