The final day of the CSI 5* Madrid began with the second victory for the Dutch rider Maikle van der Vleuten, managing to add in consecutive days the maximum distinction.

This time under the dispute of the Coca-Cola Trophy with a tiebreaker and €64,000 to distribute, where the winner managed to outdo the Germans David Will and Marcus Ehning. Presenting this time with 10-year-old gelding VDL Groep Quatro (Quaprice Boimargot Quincy x Caletto I) owned by Stoeterij Duyselshof, van der Vleuten got a time of 48.34 seconds to take advantage of 24 hundredths of a second over Will and the 16-year-old mare Mic Mac du Tillard (Cruising x Galoubet To) finishing its round in 48,60 seconds.

For the third place, Ehning led the 10-year-old mare Cristy (Canturo x Landlord) and setting a time of 49.02 seconds, keeping a small distance to Irish Darragh Kenny who followed with 49.28 seconds with the 9-year-old gelding Charly Chaplin S (Harley Vdl x Burggraaf) and fifth Belgian Gregory Wathelet with 12-year-old stallion Eldorado van het Vijverhof (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve x Omar) recording 49.33 seconds.

For the Latin Ranking, Rene Lopez of Colombia had 8 fouls in the regular round with Big Brother (Untouchable 27 x Gran Corrado) to finish in 29th place, while the Brazilian Yuri Mansur and Babylotte (Dollar du Murier x Concorde) did it with 14 Fouls and finished in the position 32th.
