Speed class in the CSI4* Braunschweig and home rider Marco Kutscher was charged with pure speed in setting the party against a large number of spectators, who certainly enjoyed the victory of German over 12-years-old gelding Balerno (Baloubet du Rouet x Silvio I).
With an unbeatable time of 59.60 seconds, Kutscher world number 18 led the way for the 50 World Ranking points and a total of 8,750 Euros with the horse owned by Karsten Lutte, to beat the British rider Jessica Mendoza and the 10-years-old gelding Sam de Bacom (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Vlan Vergoignan) owned by Sara Mendoza recording 60.06 seconds. For the third Dutchman Willem Greve it remained close in time of 60.27 seconds in the 12-years-old stallion Carambole 2 (Cassini I x Concerto II), marking a distance of 6 hundredths of a second over Swede Peder Fredricson and H&M All in (Kashmir van het Schuttershof x Fortune) fourth in the competition in time of 60.33 seconds.
No chance of the world ranking points were the Brazilian Yuri Mansur in the 19th place with the 11-years-old gelding Amor (Namelus R x Haarlem) in 58.39 seconds still the fastest time trial over 4 fouls, while US Lucy Davis followed at position 20 in field of 4 fouls and 63.61 seconds with Cassis 54 (Candidatus x Landadel), two representatives of the Pan American Ranking.
