The American rider Marilyn Little won the FEI $35,000 Suncast 1.50m Classic CSI 3* during the sixth week of the 2017 Winter Equestrian Festival.
With 34 pairs in the regular round, Little led the tiebreak of 3 classified with the 10-year-old gelding Clearwater (Clearway x Come On) in time of 39.27 seconds, represented the first of two double clear round and awarded 50 World Ranking Points with her result. For the second place and last double clear was the Frenchwoman Marie Hecart with the 17-year-old mare Myself of Breve (Quidam of Revel x Grand Veneur) registering 41.96 seconds.
For the Latin Ranking, the Chilean Samuel Parot stood out, who will no doubt extend his lead in the Latin Ranking finishing in the fourth place with the 13-year-old gelding of Quick du Pottier (Hurlevent De Breka x Cuba), being the result of 4 faults with 81.11 seconds in the fastest regular round.
Also participated Ignacio Maurin of Argentina occupying the 14th position and his fellowman Gianni Gabrielli followed in 17th place, Santiago Lambre of Mexico was 20th and Luis Pedro Biraben of Argentina finished 22nd.
The Suncast series that has six classes has the following winners Wilhelm Genn, Meredith Michael-Beerabum, Markus Beerbaum, Kent Farrington, Todd Minikus and now Marilyn Little.
