German rider Mario Stevens had a dominant presentation at the €51,000 Grand Prix of Oldenburg and took the victory at home by 3 hundredths of a second.
Being a many emotions full class, everything was defined by a small advantage and a car as first prize was taken by the home rider Mario Stevens next to the 8-year-old gelding Landano 17 (Lord Pezi x C-Indoctro) in 35.86 seconds plus 50 World Ranking Points.
Dominating the scene of the CSI3* Oldenburg by Mario Stevens, the second place was Gert Jan Bruggink of Holland accompanied by the 14-year-old gelding Vampire (Marome NW x Voltaire) in 35.89 seconds and third place occupied by Nicole Persson from Sweden with the 14-year-old gelding Balounito (Balou du Rouet x Widolan) in 36.28 seconds.
The top five finishers was completed by home two riders with Christian Kukuk in fourth place with the 11-year-old stallion Colestus (Cornet Obolensky x Stakkato) in 36.32 seconds and fifth place Steffen Eikenkötter with the 9-year-old gelding Sir Sandro BS (Sandro Boy x Colman) in 36.35 seconds.
For the Panamerican Ranking Canadian rider Ben Asselin achieved a good figure in sixth place, completing his jump-off round with the last double clear round in 37.58 seconds with the 9-year-old gelding Cool Feeling (Cornado x Lancer II) and American rider Chloe Reid totals 8 fouls in her regular round with 10-year-old gelding TNT Explosive (Tinka’s Boy x Calypso II) occupying 34th place.
