Irish rider Mark McAuley set the pace at the €24,600 Samsung CSI5* Jumping Mechelen, achieving an advantage of 8 hundredths of a second.
Securing 50 World Ranking Points by Mark McAuley with his victory, he completed the speed class in 57.75 seconds with 8-year-old gelding Valentino Tuiliere (Diamant de Semilly x Silvio) owned by Madame Charlotte Mordasini, surpassing in closed final to home rider Francois Jr Mathy.
After completing his speedy round Mark McAuley before an audience that cheered his rider Francois Jr Mathy, the Belgian rider recorded a time of 57.80 seconds with the 12-year-old stallion Falco van de Clehoeve (Quickfeuer van Koekshof x Fellini) and not too distance in third place French rider Julien Epaillard completed his field in 58.09 seconds with the 9-year-old gelding Instit de Jucaso (Cooper van de Heffinck x Darco).
First day winner former World Ranking leader Daniel Deusser of Germany, finished in fourth place next to SX Hidalgo VG (Quadrillo x Andiamo) in 58.90 seconds and fifth place Olivier Philippaerts of Belgium marked a time of 59.87 seconds with the 13-year-old mare Ustina Sitte (Clinton x Parco).
