Good start to the year for Latin Ranking leader Marlon Módolo Zanotelli to get his first win, which certainly looks to consolidate in the face of the upcoming Olympic Games to be held in his country Brazil.
Accompanied by his 12-years-old mare Madame Butterly (Corrado I x Lavall II) owned by Courtyard Farm & Enda Carroll, Módolo Zanotelli completed his jump-off in 35.94 seconds, as it was a hotly contested finished round and closed by the tight time being less than 1 second difference between the first and sixth. The Brazilian managed to points where the World Ranking ranked 30th at the present time, beating by only seven hundredths of a second Dutchman Eric van der Vleuten and the horse Zigali P S (Kigali x Palfrenier) a 12-years-old gelding owned by Marta Ortega which it was previously presented by Canadian Eric Lamaze and now in the company of van der Vleuten finalized second in time of 36.01 seconds.
The third place went to another house rider and was representative by Marc Houtzager and Sterrehof’s Calimero (Quidam De Revel x Libero H) 9-years-old gelding with which marked a time of 36.21 seconds, beating Belgian Francois Mathy Jr and 13-years-old gelding D’atlantique Royale (Darco x Kannan) only two hundredths of a second behind Houtzager in 36.23 seconds. To complete the highlights five in the Grand Prix Jur Vrieling and Arezzo VDL (Chin Chin x Heartbreaker) a VDL Stud horse completed its field in 36.74 seconds.
