German rider Michael Jung took an easy win at the €25,000 Horse Service International Grand Prix of CSI2* Kronenberg in Holland.
Being the second FEI event of the first week at CSI Peelbergen New Year Tour 2018, German rider Michael Jung completed his jump-off roundin 36.28 seconds with the 9-year-old mare Fischersolution (Carthino Z) owned by Fischer, Klaus & Sabine & Fam. Jung.
The course designed by Henk Linders had a total of 52 pairs encouraging the regular round and 11 riders would do it again in the jump-off, where Michael Jung managed to overtake Louise Saywell of Great Britain, who completed her run in 38.06 seconds with the 10-year-old mare Ushuaia d’Aurel (Nartago x Limbo) and third place Lars Bak Andersen from Denmark, recorded a time of 38.91 seconds with the 14-year-old gelding Arcado L (Argentinus x Chasseur I).
For fourth and fifth place Evi Bengtsson of Germany with the 14-year-old mare La Pasion de Caballo Ulika (Colman x Contender) finished in 41.42 seconds and Anne-Marie Poels of Holland, recorded a time of 42.28 seconds representing the last double clear round with the 12-year-old gelding Chintorelio (Chin Chin x Alcatraz).
By Latino Ranking Brazilian rider Joao Eduardo Ferreira De Carvalho managing to score World Ranking Points in 12th place with the 9-year old gelding Opium du Soufflet CH (Ogano Sitte x Landjuweel St. Hubert), but exceed the time allowed to stay out of the jump-off and culminate in 1 foul.
The best seed was the Swiss Olympic Gold medalist Steve Guerdat, but was far from the points in 20th place with the 9-year-old gelding Venard de Cerisy (Open Up Semilly x Djalisco du Guet).
