The Belgian rider Nathan Budd showed the route at the opening at second week of the Sentower Park Indoor Tour 2017, with an effective jump-off round.
Accompanied by the 16-year-old gelding Balder van de Katelijnkouter (Baloubet du Rouet x Orlando), Nathan Budd secured 50 World Ranking Points with a time of 43.76 seconds on course designed by Olaf Jun Hermann of Germany for 89 pairs.
Representing the first FEI event of the CSI2* Opglabbeek in Belgium, the home rider Nathan Budd scored a difference of more than 1 second against the Irishman Thomas Ryan and his 13-year-old gelding Quite Zero (Quite Capitol x Landgraf I), who completed the a tiebreaker in 44.93 seconds, while the third place was occupied by Patrick Lemmen from the Netherlands with the 9-year-old gelding Ideaal (Andiamo x Carinjo) in 45.09 seconds.
By the Pan American Ranking American rider Lucas Porter was the best placed in ninth place with the 12-year-old mare Diamonte Darco (Unbelievable Darco), marking a good time of 43.18 seconds for his jump-off, but they knocked down a pole to finish with 4 fouls.
With respect to Latino Ranking also managed to score points the Brazilian rider Cassio Rivetti in 13th place with the 8-year-old stallion Dayton Sitte (Ogano Sitte (ET) x Clinton) in a 4 foul jump-off with 47.68 seconds and Mexican rider Mariel Victoria Aguirre, who also knocked down a pole in her jump-off, recorded a time of 48.50 seconds with the 15-year-old gelding Cortez (Quick Star x Quito de Baussy).
Out of the points by the Latinos were Yuri Mansur of Brazil in 21st place accompanied by the 9-year-old mare Tinkerbell 31 (Incolor x Argentinus) and Colombian rider Santiago Díaz Ortega, running with less luck when choosing to retire with the 9-year-old gelding Carlson (Calido I x Silvio I).
