French rider Nicolas Delmotte completed a perfect week at the CSI 2* Cagnes-Sur-Mer on the French Riviera, taking home the two FEI victories on the calendar.
Completing a sweep in the Hippodrome de la Cote d’Azur, Nicolas Delmotte shone at home with his victory in the €26,000 GP 1.45m of the GPA Jump Festival, being the second victory of the week and completing one of the two perfect rounds that finished the course designed by Jean-Francois Morand.
After a regular round with 59 pairs, 15 riders returned to the jump-off led by Nicolas Delmotte and the 14-year-old gelding Darmani van’t Heike (Grandeur x Voltaire), who stopped the clock in 47.34 seconds to secure 50 World Ranking Points with its first position.
For second place Nadege Janssen of Belgium registered the second and last double clear round of the Grand Prix, being slower his field in 50.24 seconds with the 9-year-old gelding Checkpoint Chacco (Chacco-Blue x Ferragamo), while French rider Olivier Guillon got the best jump-off time in 44.20 seconds, but a knockdown a pole distanced him to third place next to the 8-year-old gelding Vitot du Chateau (Toulon x Kannan*gfe).
The house riders Morgan Bordat and Robin Muhr were in charge of fourth and fifth place, thus completing the five best classified.
By the Rankingo Latin Gerardo Pasquel Mendez from Mexico could not classify within the World Ranking Points, after accumulating 13 fouls in his regular round with the 11-year-old gelding Mighty Mouse (Quartz Adelheid x Codexco) finished in 42nd place.
