Belgian rider Niels Bruynseels repeated in the CSI5* Jumping Mechelen and add his second victory at home, taking a first prize’s Trailer.
Disputing the €24,550 Stephex Stables with 42 pairings cheering the regular round, Niels Bruynseels became the main reference in the jump-off round consisting of 17 classified riders, being accompanied by the 11-year-old mare Angel van T Hof (Chin Chin x Nabab de Reve) owned by Cleran Horses, to record a time of 31.70 seconds.
For the world number 17 Niels Bruynseels meant his second win of the week and took home a Stephex Stables Trailer as first prize, managing to overtake the fasted French rider Julien Epaillard, who was presented with the 9-year-old gelding Instit de Jucaso (Cooper van de Heffinck x Darco) finishing in 32.18 seconds.
The third place was held by world number 7 Lorenzo de Luca of Italy, completing his tie-break in 32.32 seconds with 8-year-old mare Jeunesse van T Paradijs (Emerald van ‘T Ruytershof x Heartbreaker), while fourth place it was for Austrian rider Max Kühner with the 10-year-old gelding PSG Future (Cash And Carry x Lorentin I) in 32.39 seconds.
Completed the top five finishers Daniel Duesser from Germany accompanied by the 10-year-old SX Hidalgo VG (Quadrillo x Andiamo) in 32.61 seconds.
By Latino Ranking Dayro Arroyave of Colombia did not manage to classify the jump-off, after completing his regular round with 4 fouls in 70.94 seconds with the 10-year-old gelding Tanucci du Ter (Crown Z (be) Z x Tenor de la Cour), to occupy the 25th place.
