Italian rider Piergiorgio Bucci dominated the second class of the CSI5* CHI de Geneve by winning the Prix des Communes Genevoises in Two Phases.
The 54 pairs that animated the course designed by Gérard Lachat, Italian rider Piergiorgio Bucci accompanied by the 10-year-old gelding Heartbreaker v. Achterhoe (Bentley van de Heffinck x Catango Z) owned by Peter Fehlbaum, completed the Two Phases in a time of 28.57 seconds.
Securing 50 World Ranking points with his victory, Piergiorgio Bucci surpassed the Swiss rider Paul Estermann by marking a 34-hundredths of a second advantage, who was presented with the 9-year-old stallion Curtis Sitte (Ugano Sitte x Chellano Z) to complete the two phases in 28.91 seconds for the second place.
For its part Ireland finished with third and fourth place thanks to the results of Michael G Duffy with the 8-year-old gelding Chappo Chey (Carell x Cornet Obolensky) in 29.90 seconds and Michael Duffy with the 8-year-old mare Jule van den Tinnenpot (Calvaro x Major de la Cour) in time of 31.55 seconds.
Completed the top five Severin Hillereau of France, stopping the timers in 31.60 seconds with the 11-year-old gelding Check Picobello Z.
Turning to the Pan American Ranking Lauren Hough of the United States finished 11th with the best result, appearing with the 10-year-old gelding Quantas 15 (Quintero x Laurin) in 38.27 seconds and by Latino Ranking its leader Pedro Veniss from Brazil ranked 19th with the 9-year-old gelding Uccello de Will (Marlou Des Etisses x Marlon) accumulating 1 fault in 42.13 seconds.
World number 1 US rider Kent Farrington finished in a distant 36th place with the 11-year-old mare Gazelle (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Indoctro), accumulating 5 fouls in 43.04 seconds.
