Pieter Devos dominates at home the CSI 3* € 61,800 1.50m BMW Grand Prix.

Joy for CSI Knokke’s assistants in Belgium, when house riders led by Pieter Devos were one-two-three in the CSI 3* 1.50m BMW Grand Prix.

With 49 pairs participating of which 10 returned to the tiebreaker, world number 30 Pieter Devos completed a formidable course for the victory, next to the 11-year-old gelding Gin D (Clinton I x Skippy II) owned by Devos Stables, after registering a time of 37.18 seconds, that would give him 80 World Ranking Points, a BMW X1 plus € 381.61 as a winner prize.

The great demonstration by the house riders remained among the jump-off, with Nicola Philippaerts occupying second place accompanied by the 11-year-old gelding Aikido Z (Accardi x Corrado I) in time of 37.24 seconds and third place to complete the one-two-three, was Koen Vereecke next to the 11-year-old stallion Glasgow MB (Toulon x Thunder van de Zuuthoeve) with time of 39.18 seconds.

The Belgians also took fifth place with Justine Tebbel, completing their field in 40.94 seconds with the 9-year-old stallion Light Star 4 (Light ON x Lafontaine), avoiding the full sweep Julia Houtzager-Kayser from Austria, whoo finished in fourth place with the 8-year-old stallion Sterrehof’s Cayetano Z (Caretano Z x Cor de La Bruyere) in 40.14 seconds.

For the Pan American Ranking, the Americans were stand out Sayre Happy in sixth place with the 9-year-old mare Dolinn (Cardento x Lux), being the last double clear round of the Grand Prix and Kerry McCahill next to the 10-year-old gelding Charly Chaplin S (Harley VDL X Burggraaf), finished ninth with 8 fouls and 39.56 seconds.

For Latino Ranking participated the Mexicans Eugenio Garza and Enrique González, not being able to classify to the tiebreaker, after that they had both 8 faults rounds, being Garza the best one in the 32nd position with the 9-year-old gelding Victer Finn Dh Z (Va Vite x Stakkato) and Gonzalez escorted him in 33rd position with the 10-year-old mare Chacna (Chacco-Blue x Narew XX).


Final Results
