Belgian rider Pieter Devos was fast in the € 25,000 Prix French Tour to mark the beginning of the tenth leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour in Chantilly, securing a 50 World Ranking Points with his victory.
Making his second win of the year at the LGCT and fourth for FEI events, Pieter Devos stopped the clock in 60.03 seconds with the 10-year-old gelding Haloubet Hitchcock (Baloubet du Rouet x Heartbreaker) owned by Devos Stables BVBA, in the speed class designed by the Italian Uliano Vezzani.
While the world number 30 Pieter Devos was just getting his second win of the season, the victories have arrived in the last two legs of the Tour, showing the good moment that is taking with his horses. For second place Bassem Mohammed of Qatar, he was only 18 hundredths of a second above the winner, completing his course in 60.21 seconds with the 11-year-old gelding Argelith Squid (Salito x Gibraltar), securing 45 World Ranking Points.
For the Latino Ranking Carlos Lopez of Colombia finished fourth, always being the main reference in the different speed classes of the LGCT, recording in this opportunity a time of 65.35 seconds with the 9-year-old mare Ulhane de Conde (Jarnac x Corland) to take 35 FEI Ranking Points.
The best seed and world number 1 Kent Farrington of the United States culminated in eighth place next to the 8-year-old gelding Opium du Soufflet CH (Ogano Sitte x Landjuweel St.Hubert) in time of 69.37 seconds.
