In the dispute of Pferd Speed-Cup at CSI 5* Leipzig, Pieter Devos of Belgium was the fastest in the class to take 50 World Ranking points when he stopped the clock in 54.11 seconds with the 14-year-old gelding Equipharma Dax van d’Abdijhoev (Desir du Chateau x Clinton I) owned by Stal Devos Dv.
With 35 pairs, Devos was able to overcome his closest rival by only 7 hundredths of a second and by 33 hundredths compared to the third place. Maikel van der Vleuten of Holland was the one who escorted the winner with the 9-year-old mare Dana Blue (Mr. Blue x Hemmingway), while the third one was of Yuri Mansur of Brazil.
The only and most outstanding representative of the Latin and Pan Am Ranking, got 40 FEI Ranking points, after stopping the clock in 54.44 seconds with the 11-year-old mare Cula Lou V (Chacco-Blue x Sandro) owned by Euro Stable, being his best result of the week as well as his first points.
The fight remained in fourth place, when Austrian Max Kühner recorded 54.53 seconds on his court with 14-year-old gelding Clooney 35 (Cardento x Voltaire). Completed the top five Harrie Smolders in fifth place with 13-year-old gelding Zinius (Reve x Kannan’s Nabab), winner in the first FEI class of the week, but now with a time of 55.97 seconds conformed with the fifth position.
