Pieter Devos and Jerome Guery from Belgium achieved a one-two at home to close the third day of competitions, sending to all attendees of the event with a great joy to see two of their favorite riders look at the KBC Bank & Verzekering, surpassing a class that began with a total of 41 pairs.
For the jump-off, Devos on the horse Espoir (Surcouf de Revel x Laudanum XX) a 11-years old gelding owned by Euro Equitation Bvba were measured in open struggle for the lead with compatriot Jerome Guery and his horse Papillon Z (Perhaps x Cassini I) a 13-years old stallion for far distance of 44 hundredths of a second, the time of Devos the best in 30.48 seconds in a perfect clear round jump-off. Meanwhile Guery followed him with time of 30.92 seconds, while third place would occupy the British rider Laura Renwick on the 9-years old gelding Bintang II (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Orlando) more distant stopped the clock at 33.29 seconds.
The five most outstanding of the class that had a 15 classified jump-off and a total of 6 double clear in total, were in fourth place and the Belgian Jeroen Appelen and Alkido Z (Accardi x Corrado I) in time of 33.53 seconds and finally fifth the French Kevin Stuat with the 9-years old horse Bleu Bayou (Berlin x Ahorn) owned by Fam. de Romp marking slate of 33.57 seconds.
