Swiss Olympic medalist Pius Schwizer drove fast at CSI 5* Ascona’s Liebherr AG to claim victory at home to beat 26 riders.
Being a speed class, Pius Schwizer completed his course in 52.64 seconds to gain a comfortable victory with the 10-year-old gelding Balou Rubin R (Balou du Rouet x Couleur-Rubin), surpassing for more than 2 seconds at his most close rival and accredited 50 World Ranking Points.
For second place Harold Boisset of France recorded a time of 54.95 seconds with the 10-year-old mare T’Obetty du Domaine (Balou du Rouet x Couleur-Rubin), while they followed for the five best classified by Jerome Guery of Belgium in third place next to the 15-year-old stallion Papillon Z (Perhaps v.Berkenbroeck x San Patrignano Cassini) in time of 56.14 seconds, fourth place for Max Kühner of Austria in 57.52 seconds with the 9-year-old stallion Alfa Jordan ( Air Jordan Z x Lancelot) and fifth place Marc Röthlisberger of Switzerland with the 9-year-old gelding Quiet Fire CH (Quidam of Revel x Carnute) in 59.47 seconds.
By the Latino Ranking Yuri Mansur of Brazil added points for second FEI class in a row, occupying in this opportunity the seventh place with the 12-year-old gelding Iron Chin v. Lindenhof (Chin Chin x Nimmerdor), being penalized with a foul in 69.87 seconds. Marlon Modolo Zanotelli was not on his best day to accumulate 12 fouls in 65.90 seconds to finish 24th with the 10-year-old mare Celena VDL (Mr. Blue x Chin Chin).
