Swiss Olympic medalist Pius Schwizer guided the €24,600 Prix Qatar of the Morocco Royal Tour with a resounding jump-off round and credited the victory.
After yesterday’s winning at the Nations Cup for Switzerland in the CSI3* Rabat, today Pius Schwizer continued with the winning streak and secured 50 World Ranking Points with a fasted jump-off round, along with the 11-year-old gelding Leonard de la Ferme CH (Landjuweel x Indigene de Corday).
Completing his round in 41.84 seconds, Pius Schwizer was simply unreachable by the rest of the 12 classified riders to the jump-off, completing the Swiss one-two with the amazon Nadja Peter Steiner and her 13-year-old mare Celeste 26 (Casall x Landgraf I) in time of 45.00 seconds, while the third place was for Saudi Abdullah Alsharbatly accompanied by the 14-year-old gelding Woulon L (Toulon x G. Ramiro Z) in 45.41 seconds.
Ultimately 8 were the double clear round that completed the decisive round, being the owners of fourth and fifth place for the Top 5 Roberto Turchetto of Italy with the 11-year-old gelding Baron (Colman x Number One) in 45.75 seconds and fifth Saudi rider Abdulrahman Ajhi with the 15-year-old stallion Chilli Pepper van de Helle (Cumano x Sheyenne de Baugy) in 46.32 seconds.
