The Irishman Richard Howley won the Mijas Grand Prix, where distributed €40,000 among the top 12 finishers. In company of 10-year-old gelding Chinook (Togo x Wellington), the Irish pair dominated the two rounds by stopping the clock in 39.34 seconds, securing 50 World Ranking points plus €10,000 with the win.
The perfect courts extended to the fourth place, being escorted the winner by Viktor Daem of Belgium registering a time of 41.49 seconds with 11-year-old gelding Bacardi (Numero 1 x Action Hero). For the third place was Peter Charles of Great Britain next to the 8-year-old gelding ABC Quantum Cruise (Obos Quality x Cruising) in 42.68 seconds, in fourth place the Swedish rider Antonia Andersson and Inouk P (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve x Darco) completed their run in 43.08 seconds, while the fifth with accumulated 1 foul finished the German Mike Patrick Leichle with 12-year-old mare Colinde van het Slager (Contact van de Hefficnck x J’Attack d’El Pantireye).
