Irish-rider Richie Moloney beat the clock and the rain, capturing the win in the Thursday afternoon $35,000 Hollow Creek Farm CSI 3* Speed Cup at the Split Rock Jumping Tour: Lexington International. On board Slieveanorra, the 14-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding (Voltaire x Creevagh Quaich), Moloney kept all the rails up on the Alan Wade designed course that rode very straightforward with few options to save time. It was a large field, with 48 entries to open the first day of competition at Split Rock.
“I am very happy with the win today. It was a nice way to start the week at Split Rock and both of my horses jumped great,” said Moloney. Moloney also captured second place aboard Alsvid (Escudo 1 x Adonca).
