Great start to the week in the CSI5* Jumping Verona for Italian’s representatives and big surprise by Roberto Previtali, who won the speed class, beating the fastest Australian rider Edwina Tops-Alexander.

With 10 years gelding Fixdesign Lucaine (Lenardo x Salamander), the Italian rider placed the fastest time in speed class to advantage by almost two seconds, which 50 FEI Ranking points will be credited. Slate marking time 58.87 seconds, only Tops-Alexander avoided the first three positions be held by home riders completing their court next to the famous horsewoman mare Questina (Quidam’s Rubin) in 60.34 seconds.

 

The fight remained very closed by the top four, following in the third place Juan Carlos Garcia and Moka Mescam (Melkior Quouglof Rouge du Montois x) in time of 60.35 seconds, just one hundredth of a second over second place while Giulia Martinengo Marquet took, who possession of fourth place with the 10 years mare Randon Pleasure (For Pleasure x Quidam de Revel) stopping the clock at 60.84 seconds.

 

The Argentine Jose Maria Larocca complete with clear course and ranked in the top 16 in 13th place, along the 11 years old stallion owned by the rider Cornet du Lys (Cornet Obolensky x Champion Du Lys), with time of 72 seconds.
