The Colombian Roberto Teran wrote a new page in the history of Colombian sport to get first victory in the Great American $1 Million Grand Prix in Ocala, part of the triple crown of $1 Million each of the HITS series, being that of Florida the second sleeve.

Already with the first of three races held and won by McLain Ward in Thermal, California last week was the turn of Ocala to find the winner of $350,000 are awarded to the first place, that the Colombian Roberto Teran took with its large display in the company of 13-year-old mare Woklahoma (Sheraton x Calvados) owned by Teran and ARK Partners.

With no easy rivals in the decisive stage, the second place was for the Irish Olympic medalist Cian O’Connor and Good Luck (Canturo x Furioso ii) a 10-year-old mare owned by Adena Springs & Ronnoco Jump Ltd., completing his double clear round in 48.43 seconds.

The third position would complete the three double clear of the millionaire class, with the American rider Lillie Keenan beside the 10-year-old gelding Super Sox (Salito x Silvio I) owned by Chansonnette Farm LLC, the concealed that position by stopping the chronometer in 49.41 seconds. To close the Top 5 of the afternoon, Laren Hough and her 12-year-old mare Ohlala (Orlando x Cardento) from The Ohlala Group would get the fastest jump-off round in 44.08 seconds, but a takedown a rail for a total of 4 fouls placed them in the fourth, while the fifth by German Andre Thieme and Conthendrix (Contendro I x Cor de la Bryere) with 4 fouls and 46.78 seconds.

The winner of the first million sleeve this year McLain Ward ended in sixth place with Rothschild (Artos x Elegant De L’Ile) and defender 2015 winner Charlie Jayne, failed to get into the top 12 of the competition.
