The Colombian rider Roberto Teran made a convincing victory in the $100,000 Grand Prix of Taverse City CSI3*, to close the sixth week of the GLEF.
Having achieved his first 2017 FEI victory, Roberto Teran was back on the path of victory, where he had to wait almost 2 years to savor the highest honors, constituting with the most important FEI victory of his career.
While Roberto Teran collects one of the world’s most important equestrian feats, winning the Great American $1 Million Grand Prix in Ocala last year, one of the few classes of a Million that exists, today with the 12-year-old gelding Brilliant Du Rouet (Balou du Rouet x Caretani Z) secured 80 FEI Ranking points, completing his jump-off in 35.70 seconds to be the first of two double clear round that finished the class.
For second place Margie Engle of the United States recorded the other double clear round in 37.26 seconds accompanied by the 13-year-old stallion Royce (Cafe Au Lait x Grandilot), while the third place was for Australian Scott Keach with the 12-year-old gelding Fedor (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Orkaan) in a course of 4 fouls and 36.40 seconds.
For the Latino Ranking commanded by Roberto Teran, a great Colombian day was undoubtedly lived at Flintfields Horse Park with an inspired Ilan Bluman finishing in fourth place to complete an excellent Great lakes Equestrian Festival sixth week, accumulating 8 faults in 41.00 seconds with the 8-year old gelding Enzo (Verdi TN x Amethist) and Ilan Bluman himself repeated in sixth place with the 9-year-old gelding Eax Run Run LS (Casall x Montebello La Silla).
They also added World Ranking Points by the Latin Americans Samuel Parot of Chile occupying eighth place with the 12-year-old mare Romance Du Criolo (Kannan x Dandy du Plape) in a 4 fouls regular round, being followed in tenth place by Mexican rider Alberto Michan next to the 11-year-old gelding Redmond (Neo D’Aunou x Joly Jumper) and out of the points the also Mexican Santiago Lambre was placed in 23rd position with the 9-year-old stallion Ibabco (Nabab de reve x Darco).
