Rowan Willis took the biggest victory of his career by dominating the €154,000 X-Bionic Sphere CSI4* Grand Prix.
The course designed by the Italian Uliano Vezzani for 48 pairs, had the full protagonism of Australian Rowan Willis who completed his two clear rounds and 51.11 seconds with the 11-year-old mare Blue Movie (Chacco Blue x Pilot), securing 130 World Ranking Points.
Being the fourth FEI victory and first of 2017 all previous in speed classes, today Rowan Willis added its first Grand Prx to surpass as the last Second Round clear the German Marcel Marschall and his 13-year-old mare Utopia (Concas Z x Chambertin ) with a time of 52.97 seconds.
While the Pan American gold medalist Christine McCrea of the United States achieved the best time of the two rounds in 49.61 seconds, she could not avoid knocking down a pole with the 12-year-old mare Nektarina B (Nekton x Lancer II) who ended up locating her in third place.
In fourth place was Gert-Jan Bruggink from the Netherlands totaling 4 fouls in 49.96 seconds and fifth German Marcel Wolf in 4 fouls and 52.48 seconds.
For the Latino Ranking Colombian Rene Lopez ranked 15th, being the only one to add points to the FEI Ranking by latinos next to the 13-year-old stallion Con Dios III (Colman x Romino), completing the two rounds in 12 fouls.
